Bettie Jane Bibler tickles the imagination of young and old alike through the magic of storytelling. Listeners savor the flavors of many cultures as this artist shares tales from around the world, spiced with mischief, merriment, wit and wisdom. A skilled performer and educator, Bettie Jane offers a variety of interactive storytelling workshops and performances. She engages participants with a multi-sensory approach, bringing tales to life through the use of creative movement, vocal variety, puppetry, costumes and unusual musical instruments from lands near and far. Marvelous Masks and More Grades 4-5 2-In School Sessions
Session I: Presented by Polk County Conservation. Mammal Mania -45 Minutes - Learn about mammals of Iowa's past and present using real animal pelts.
Session II: 1 ½ hours. Artist Bettie Jane Bibler will work with students on the elements of design, color, symmetry and animal motifs. Students will create masks or collages from a variety of recycled, reusable and natural material. Bettie Jane will also use multicultural folktales as a part of her programming.
